Our Private Hunter Valley Winery Tours are customised to suit you.
Ted’s Hunter Valley Winery Tours offers private wine tour packages for all tastes and ages. We have suggested themes (see below) or you can simply book the bus & driver and make your own adventure!

Want the most flexible day - Simply book the bus and the guide/driver for the day. You can then visit any venue you want: wineries, breweries, distilleries, sightseeing or anything else this is the way to go. Suitable for groups up to 11.
If your group is 11 or less, hiring a bus & expert guide/driver for the day is the most flexible way to explore the Hunter Valley like a true local. We can make a suggested route before the day or you can simply figure it out on day. We provide door-to-door service, picking you up from your wine country accommodation and returning you after an incredible day. Along the way, you’ll indulge in exceptional and rare wines, meet fascinating local characters, and enjoy a delightful mix of learning, laughter, and pure enjoyment.
Need a little help? We can organise to take you to wineries with fabulous cheese platters, food & wine pairings and more.
Priced at $1,180 for 6 hours we work around your schedule. Lunch and tastings are extra and you pay direct to venues on the day
For groups travelling with children, we have 2 anchor points in the car for car seats - seats to be provided by customer.

Pick-up & drop-off from your accommodation anywhere in the Hunter Valley (bookings in Newcastle region will attract a surcharge of $80). The Big Day Out WINERY TOUR
Dive head first into all things Hunter Valley on the Full Hunter Experience. We’ll start the day by winding our way round the wineries before refuelling at one of our favourite lunch venues. After you’ve indulged in some delicious local delicacies, we’ll really tantalise those tastebuds with a trip to the distillery - where a spirit tasting is sure to put a spring in your step after that post-lunch slump.
We’ll introduce you to some local suppliers so you can stock up on all things cheese, chocolate and chutney and then there’s no better way to end the day than sitting back and relaxing at a brewery as you sip on something cool and frothy.

Hunter Valley Hidden Gems WINERY TOUR
We’re very proud of our ‘product testing’ efforts, not because of how much wine we’ve collectively consumed but because it’s allowed us to discover an array of sparkling hidden gems scattered across the Hunter. While all our Hunter Valley Winery tours are full of tasty drops, there are some lesser-known beauties have quickly become some of our favourite stops and we can’t wait to share them with you, too.
This tour will take you off the beaten track and into the wineries that are fuelled by families with a passion for personal production and small batch creative flair.
During your ‘hidden gem’ tour, we’ll visit four glorious cellar doors with a stop for lunch in the middle of the day. We’ll also include a board of local cheese & crackers for you to enjoy with a wine before dropping you home for sunset.

The Hunter Valley Greats WINERY TOUR
Whilst big fans of all things boutique, here at Ted’s we also give credit to the well-known wineries that helped put the Hunter Valley on the world-class vino map. You may be able to find their products in most bottle-o's but does that wine bottle transport you to a beautiful cellar door and run you through how they make their magic?
I didn't think so. And if it does, well... you’ve obviously enjoyed ALOT of that primo-vino.
The Hunter Valley Greats tour showcases exactly that - the grandest and greatest of the valley’s vineyards, each leading you on a journey of how they grew to become one of the Hunters leading wineries.
During this tour, we’ll tick off 4 top-tasting venues, stopping for a delightful lunch in between. A trip to the Hunter wouldn’t be complete without sampling some local delicacies, so we’ll hit up the cheese factory before we wrap up the day.

Half day adventure - 4 HOUR WINERY TOUR
Don’t quite have time for a full day out but still want to smash a few vinos and enjoy the Hunter Valley scenery?
Our half day vino adventure is essentially four hours of power and includes three tasting venues and a stop at the local cheese factory to stock up on some goodies. Choose between all wineries or spice it up with a brewery or distillery too.
Half day tours can be enjoyed in the morning or afternoon - whichever time suits you best!
