Our small tour group offers a unique experience. You’ll visit one of Hunter Valley’s top vineyards and enjoy tastings that are hard to find with large groups. We’ll pick you up and drop you off at your place in Newcastle. Have a relaxing day among the vines while we take care of everything.

The Tour Itinerary

Here’s the typical venues you’ll visit on the day. Please note that all stops are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Stop 1. Audrey Wilkinson Cellar Door

Perched on a picturesque foothill of the Brokenback Mountain Ranges, the expansive Audrey Wilkinson Cellar Door is a must-visit in the Hunter Valley. Offering breathtaking 360-degree views, this destination promises an unforgettable experience. Indulge in a premium seated wine tasting, lasting approximately one hour, and take your time exploring the on-site winemaking museum. Housed in the original winery, the museum showcases the rich Wilkinson Family history, heritage-awarded open cement vats, and an array of winemaking tools and equipment. Don’t forget to capture the phenomenal views during your visit!

Stop 2. Small Mouth Vodka

Delight in a selection of eight tastings at Small Mouth Vodka, where you’ll sample unique flavored vodkas, gins, and liqueurs—some infused with glitter for added sparkle! Handcrafted with care, Small Mouth Vodka is free from preservatives and artificial additives. Using only premium organic ingredients, this artisan vodka delivers full-bodied flavor with a smooth, lasting finish.

Stop 3. Hungerford Hill Winery

For wine enthusiasts eager to explore exceptional craftsmanship, Hungerford Hill Winery is an essential stop. Renowned for its diverse range of wines, this celebrated winery offers something to suit every palate. Guests are welcomed by a team of passionate and knowledgeable staff who ensure an enriching and educational tasting experience, whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or new to the world of wine.

Stop 4. Pines at the Farm

Enjoy a relaxing lunch break at 4 Pines at the Farm, where the taproom, bistro, and cellar door span 600 square meters of scenic Hunter Valley views. Whether you sip a beer from the 12-tap bar or a Semillon on the patio, this venue offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. We’ll dine al fresco under the pavilion, overlooking the vineyards—a perfect way to recharge before continuing our journey. Please note the cost of lunch is not included in the tour - you will need to pay for that separately.

Stop 5. Hanging Tree Wines

Hanging Tree Wines embodies the beauty of the Hunter Valley with its sprawling vineyards and scenic landscapes. This winery is cherished for its award-winning wines and its delightful farm dogs, who greet visitors with wagging tails. With its relaxed ambiance and stunning surroundings, it’s an ideal place to unwind and enjoy exceptional wines amidst rolling hills and lush greenery.

Stop 6. Binnorie Dairy

As our Hunter Valley winery tour draws to a close, we’ll make a final stop at the renowned Binnorie Dairy. Here, the cheesemakers will guide you through a tasting of their creamy creations, crafted from cow and goat milk using time-honored techniques. Watch the artisans at work through the viewing windows and savor the rich, complex flavors that have earned Binnorie Dairy acclaim among cheese aficionados. Grab a coffee from their always-on espresso machine before we head back to Newcastle.

  • The Hunter Valley Winery Tour is a full day tour departing Newcastle around 9:30am, returning around 5:00-5:30pm (approximately 7.5 to 8.0 hours).

  • Our full day Hunter Valley Wine Tour does not include lunch. We have a lunch break at “The Farm - 4 Pines” at your expense.

  • You can make a booking for our daily Hunter Valley Winery Tour leaving Newcastle for a single person or a group of up to 11.

    However, for groups of 7 ore more, we recommend a private Hunter Valley Winery Tour. We’re able to customise our private tours to suit groups of up to 24 people.

  • Our Hunter Valley winery tour departs Newcastle every day, subject to minimum numbers.
